We had a beautiful room with gorgeous views. The location is idyllic, and was perfect for a totally relaxing autumn break.
Loved absolutely everything.... and will definitley go back
Our castle stay was a memorable experience. The staff was extremely friendly, the castle and grounds were lovely, and the food was superb. The entire experience was all that we could ask for.
Wonderful location with fabulous views. The quietness, tranquility was just amazing. Perfect for that little weekend get-away and to top it all off, the unbelievably fantastic food and service. I also loved, that one could sit in the foyer in front of the lovely wood fire and have a glass of wine or whiskey, every effort was made to make the stay a memorable one. All in all, a really and truly lovely hotel, set in a wonderful setting..
I knew all staff names after the first night, they were all professional and yet great fun. Patrick and Des are amazing managers. The hotel is old world luxury surrounded by the most beautiful countryside in the world. Food for the soul. There for the Connemarathon, dropped off 20 mins before the race began- where else in the world would that happen!
Our stay at Ballynahinch Castle was perfect in every way. The setting is unsurpassable. Our room was luxurious. The common areas were inviting and the staff eager to meet our every need. The breakfast was phenomenal..wide range of choices and served in a dining room overlooking the beautiful Ballynahinch River
This is a wonderfully relaxing place to stay, surrounded by rugged Irish countryside and close to rivers, lakes and the sea. The food is excellent and the people are extremely friendly and welcoming. Big log fires, deep armchairs and an old fashioned ambience make you feel very comfortable and cossetted.
Warm and welcoming atmosphere. Rooms tastefully furnished and very comfortable. Spectacular views of the river from the dining room and our bedroom. Relaxing walks in the castle grounds. Food excellent both in the bar and dining room. Courteous, friendly and helpful staff. Would highly recommend the castle as a place to get away from it all. My husband and I had a wonderful break to celebrate our wedding anniversary.
The cosiness of sitting by the big open fires enjoying a daytime beverage and being surrounded by such beautiful scenery.
Warm atmosphere, attentive staff, good food and general ambience.
Bedroom carpet was stained and needed cleaning. Shower was warm but not hot.
it was beautiful our favorite stop on our entire vacation
This was a totally relaxing short break. Exceptional food, a great ambiance and very attentive staff. The countryside was amazing. Well worth the cost.
We have visited Ballynahinch on several occasions, and have always enjoyed the serenity and luxury of our stays. The view is wonderful, the food grand, and the ambiance excellent. Due to an airline debacle, we arrived at Ballynahinch a day and a half late and were disappointed we were unable to stay as long as we liked. However, one day was better than none!
Warm welcome ,excellent staff, wonderful room and all other facilities, quality dining experience all in a splendid location.
Ballynahinch is a wonderful place full of old school charm and faded grandeur. The location is beautiful and the grounds are gorgeous. The rooms were lovely with the right amount of castle 'creakiness' and comfort. A special treat! If you like the overly designed personality-less modern luxury hotels Ballynahinch is not for you.
We loved the setting and grounds, we hiked all the trails, and especially loved the lake and river.
I guess I expected a little more of our room. Although it was comfortable it wasn't luxurious. We have paid less for more wonderful accommodations. White Park House, in Ballintoy, No. Ireland is such a place.
